Cooking Directions

Cooking directions for Industrial rice applications will vary depending on the rice type, other ingredients being used, the amount of available water, and temperature of the cooking process.  Below are basic "on the stove" cooking directions using only rice and water; which you can use as a guide to develop cooking directions for your application.
 
Long Grain Rice

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a 2 quart heavy saucepan. Add margarine and salt, if desired. Stir in 1 cup rice. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.

PB-1

Bring 2 ┬╝ cups of water to a boil in a 2 quart heavy saucepan. Add margarine and salt, if desired. Stir in 1 cup rice. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes or until all water is absorbed.

IR-340

Add one cup water to one cup of rice in a 2 quart saucepan. BRING water to a boil. If desired, add tub margarine and salt to taste. STIR in rice; cover.  Remove from heat. LET stand 5 MINUTES or until water is absorbed.

P-100

Place 1-quart water into a medium saucepan for 100g of rice. Bring water to a boil and simmer uncovered 8-10 minutes.
