Parboiled Rice PB-1
Product Description
Parboiled Rice PB-1 is a top quality, parboiled long grain rice. The parboiling process consists of steeping rough rice in hot water, steaming under carefully controlled conditions and then drying. The dried rough rice is then milled in the conventional manner. Parboiling partially gelatinizes the starch in the grain and produces a rice more resistant to overcooking or over processing. PB-1 is certified as Kosher.

Riviana Parboiled Rice PB-1 is available in 50 lb. bags or 2,000 lb. tote bags. This product has an indefinite shelf life and is best if used within 2 years. It is advisable to rotate stock regularly. Cooking methods available upon request. Rice is a raw agricultural product and should be put through an appropriate kill step based on your individual use.
